Welcome to Garmouth & Kingston Pre-school Groups
The Garmouth and Kingston Pre-school Groups are set in the picturesque village of Garmouth which sits alongside the River Spey in Moray. The Playgroup has been established for over 30 years and has evolved over that time to meet changing needs. The 2-3 club has been running for over 12 years.
Both groups are run by a Committee elected in May every year. Parents and interested parties can volunteer to serve on the committee for up to three consecutive years. There are a number of positions and new faces are always welcome.
We adhere to the highest quality standards of safety and care as laid down by the Care Commission who inspect our service annually. We are members of the Care and Learning Alliance and follow their code of practice and are inspected regularly by HMIE (Her Majesties Inspectors of Education).
The first thing you will notice about our groups is the bright cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. We make every effort to create a safe and homely atmosphere. We have routines and activities which are appropriate to your child’s age group and you will find the children we care for happy and busy. We do have a settling in policy for each group, and the groups work together to ensure smooth transition between groups. We also have strong links with the local primary schools and work hard with them to ensure smooth entry to school.
We have a Tots Group which meets every Friday at 10:15am. Come along for a chat, coffee and a cake.
